Refund + Return Policy

At Mahjong by SI, every mat is crafted to order specifically for you after your order is placed. Because we do not pull finished mats from pre-made inventory, all sales are considered final except in the limited circumstances outlined below.

Please review your design, size, material, and order details carefully before completing your purchase. Orders cannot be canceled once placed, as production may begin immediately.

Change of Mind, Design Preference & Ordering Errors

We do not offer standard refunds or returns for buyer preference or change of mind, including but not limited to:

  • You changed your mind after placing or receiving your order.
  • You no longer want or need the item.
  • You selected the wrong design, size, material, or quantity when ordering.
  • The design you selected was printed and shipped correctly but you decide you do not like it in person.
  • The mat does not coordinate with your décor, mahjong tiles, racks, furniture, or other game pieces.
  • You expected the colors to appear differently in person.
  • You prefer a different design after receiving your order.

Because each mat is crafted to order, these circumstances are not considered defects or fulfillment errors.

Limited 5-Day Return Exception

Although all sales are generally final, Mahjong by SI may, at our sole discretion, approve a return exception if you contact us within 5 calendar days of the date your package is delivered.

This is a courtesy exception and return approval is not guaranteed.

If a return exception is approved:

  • A $25 restocking fee will apply.
  • The restocking fee will be invoiced separately and must be paid before return authorization is issued.
  • The item must be unused, unwashed, undamaged, and returned in its original condition and packaging.
  • The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
  • The return must be shipped using the return instructions provided by Mahjong by SI.
  • Items returned without prior written authorization may be refused and will not be eligible for a refund.
  • Refunds will not be issued until the returned merchandise has been received and inspected.

Requests made more than 5 calendar days after delivery are not eligible for a change-of-mind return exception.

Color, Printing & Size Variations

Because our products are printed and finished individually, slight variations can occur from one mat to another.

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Slight color differences between the finished mat and what is displayed on a phone, tablet, or computer screen.
  • Differences caused by screen brightness, saturation, contrast, display settings, lighting, or edited/product photography.
  • Slight color variations that naturally occur during printing and heat pressing.
  • Minor size variations created during production.
  • Border or edge geometry variations within 1 inch of the listed dimensions.

These variations are considered normal characteristics of the production process and are not considered defects.

Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Orders

We stand behind the quality of our work. If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us at orders@mahjongbysi.com within 7 calendar days of delivery.

Please include your order number and clear photographs documenting the issue so our team can review it.

Qualifying issues may include:

  • Printing defects: Visible print errors, banding, misalignment, or severe dye bleeding caused by our production process.
  • Material defects: Defects in the neoprene, rubber backing, or faux leather material itself, such as peeling, delamination, or structural flaws.
  • Shipping damage: An item that arrives physically damaged, torn, or crushed during transit.
  • Incorrect item: You received a different design, size, material, or product than what was listed on your order confirmation.

If we determine that an item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, we will work with you to provide the appropriate resolution.
