The People Behind the Patterns

Meet Our Designers & Collaborating Artists

Beautiful mats begin with creative people. Our Mahjong by SI designers and collaborating artists bring their own stories, styles, and imaginations to Mahjong by SI—from expressive paintings and intricate botanicals to playful patterns and timeless classics. We bring their artwork to the table, printing and finishing each mat in our Atlanta studio, crafted to order for the way you play.

Our Creative Process

Our designers and artists bring their own distinctive styles to Mahjong by SI. Founder and creative director Stacie Francombe guides each design and collaboration, while her mom, Sandie, curates our artist partnerships. United by a love of art, color, and style, this mother-daughter duo helps shape a varied collection with something for everyone.

Whether a design begins with our Mahjong by SI team or a collaborating artist, we prepare the artwork for the mat’s proportions, review color and detail, and print and finish each mat in our Atlanta studio.

Concept + Direction

Each collection starts with a creative point of view—from an artist’s original painting or illustration to a fresh pattern developed by our Mahjong by SI designers.

Artwork + Layout

Our team works with each design’s color, pattern, and proportions to create a balanced playing surface while preserving the artist’s style.

Color + Scale Review

Each design is checked for balance, detail, contrast, and production readiness before it is added to the collection.

Made for Your Table

Each mat is printed and finished in our Atlanta studio, crafted to order and checked before it heads to your table.

Original Art. Shared Around the Table.

From our Mahjong by SI designers to our collaborating artists, every collection brings a different story to the game. Find a design that feels like you—and make your next gathering a little more colorful.
